67 to 70, inclusive, of said Article and title, sub-title "Eastern
Shore State Hospital", be and the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 5. And be it -further enacted, That all laws or parts of
laws, whether public local or public general, inconsistent
with the provisions of this Act, be and they are hereby re-
pealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

CHAPTER 686

(Senate Bill 406)

AN ACT to repeal Section 22 of Article 78B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Rac-
ing Commission", and to enact in lieu thereof a new
section to be known as Section 22 of said Article 78B,
providing that under certain conditions the Relief Fund
of the Maryland Racing Commission shall be paid over
to the Maryland Horsemen's Assistance Fund, Inc., for
expenditure.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 22 of Article 78B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Racing Commission",
be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That a new section of Article 78B to be
known as Section 22 be and the same is hereby enacted to
read as follows:

22. The Maryland Racing Commission is hereby author-
ised to pay over to the Maryland Horsemen's Assistance
Fund, Inc., a charitable corporation, organized for the
benefit, aid, assistance and relief of horsemen, trainers,
jockeys, exercise boys, grooms, stable attendants and other
persons employed in connection with the racing of horses
or their widows or children, who are in need of financial
assistance, for these aforementioned corporate purposes,
and no other purpose, all monies held by the Maryland
Racing Commission on the effective date of this Act in a
special fund known as the Relief Fund of the Maryland
