AN ACT to change the name of St. Mary's Female Semi-
nary to St. Mary's Seminary Junior College.

WHEREAS, there are day students and boys living in St.
Mary's County who wish to take a Junior College course
and

WHEREAS, St. Mary's Female Seminary is actually giv-
ing Junior College Courses; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable, under the circumstances to
change the name of the Seminary; now therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the name of St. Mary's Female Seminary be and it
is hereby changed to and shall hereafter be known as
St. Mary's Seminary Junior College.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1949.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 145 to 161, inclusive, of Article
43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition
and 1947 Supplement), title "Health, " sub-title "State
Veterinary Medical Board, " and to enact in lieu thereof
nine new sections to be known as Sections 145 to 153,
inclusive, to be under the sub-title "State Board of Vet-
erinary Medical Examiners, " creating the State Board of
Veterinary Medical Examiners, prescribing its powers
and duties, and relating to the practice of veterinary
medicine.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 145 to 161, inclusive, of Article 43 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition and 1947 Sup-
plement), title "Health, " sub-title "State Veterinary Medi-
cal Board, " be and they are hereby repealed and that nine
