seven feet to a stone in the southeast line of the Brunswick
road; thence crossing said Brunswick road and the farm
owned by Daniel Shafer, north, fifty-five and one-half degrees,
west, twenty-two hundred feet; thence south, twenty-one de-
grees, fifty-five minutes west, twenty-eight hundred and fifty-
six feet to a stone; thence south, twenty-four degrees twenty
minutes west, and continuing the same until it intersects the
Maryland State line; thence southeasterly, binding on the
Maryland State line until it intersects a line drawn south,
twenty-one and one-fourth degrees west, from the beginning;
and thence reversing the said line so drawn and binding
thereon, north twenty-one and one-fourth degrees west, to the
place of beginning; and the boundaries of the three wards of
Brunswick shall remain as now constituted and established
until otherwise ordained by the Mayor and Council of Bruns-
wick.

SEC. 2. And be It further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

CHAPTER 662

(House Bill 777)

AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 220 of Article 81
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement),
title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "Recordation Tax", said
new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (1) and to
follow immediately after Sub-section (k), relating to the
exemption from the recordation tax of certain instruments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to
Section 220 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "Re-
cordation Tax", said new sub-section to be known as Sub-
section (1) and to follow immediately after Sub-section (k),
and to read as follows:

(1) The exemption in Sub-sections (h), (i), (j), and (k)
hereof granted because of, or in respect to, an instrument
previously recorded shall not apply or be effective in case of
an instrument recorded prior to May 31, 1937.
