or in the case of her death or remarriage, to his minor
children in equal shares for five (5) years.

430. Levy.

The County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County are
hereby directed and authorized! to levy each year a sum suffi-
cient for the payment of the salaries of all members of the
Anne Arundel County Police Force and for the payment of
the retirement allowance or pension to all members of said
force, widows and minor children under the provisions of this
sub-title, and for the purchase of motor vehicles, other equip-
ment and supplies, and for the operation, maintenance and
repair of the same as provided in this sub-title, together with
such further sum or sums as may be necessary to carry out
the purpose and intent of this sub-title, but no such levy shall
be made against any property or person in the sixth district
of the County.

431. Special Officers.

The County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County are
hereby authorized to appoint such number of "Special Offi-
cers", as they may deem necessary for the proper protection
of waterfront communities and developments, places of public
amusement or recreation, and places of business, located in
Anne Arundel County. The jurisdiction of each of said
"Special Officers" shall be confined to such community or de-
velopment, places of public amusement or recreation, and
places of business, in Anne Arundel County, and for such
period of time, as the County Commissioners may designate.
Each of said "Special Officers" shall before assuming his duties
and before taking his oath of office, give to the County Com-
missioners of Anne Arundel County and file with the Clerk
of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County corporate bond,
or personal bond signed and executed by at least three (3)
owners of real property in Anne Arundel County, which said
bond shall be in the amount of Two Thousand Dollars
($2, 000. 00) and shall be subject to the approval of the Clerk
of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County and shall be
conditioned upon the proper and faithful performance of the
duties of said "Special Officers". No "Special Officer" shall
hereafter be appointed in Anne Arundel County, save in
accordance with the provisions of this sub-title, provided, how-
ever, that nothing in the provisions of this sub-title shall apply
or be taken to apply to the Sixth Election District of Anne
Arundel County or to the appointment or method of appoint-
ment of any officer, policeman or constable in said Sixth
Election District of Anne Arundel County.
