to be known as Section 604B and to follow immediately
after Section 604A of said Code, as said Section 604A was
enacted by Chapter 487 of the Acts of 1939, providing for
the exclusion of pregnancy as creating a right to disability
benefits under the Teachers' Belief Fund of Allegany
County, and defining the rights of teachers on leave of
absence to disability benefits under said fund.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Allegany County", sub-title "Schools", said new
section to be known as Section 604B and to follow immedi-
ately after Section 604A of said Code, as said Section 604A
was enacted by Chapter 487 of the Acts of 1939 and to read
as follows:
604B. The term "disabled or incapacitated" as used in the
two preceding sections shall not be deemed or construed to
include any disability or incapacity occasioned by pregnancy,
maternity and/or complications attendant therewith or re-
sulting therefrom. In all cases wherein teachers have been
on leave of absence, all benefit payments to such teachers
shall terminate at the end of the school year in which the
leave of absence began.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted9 That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

(House Bill 688)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 416 to 436 inclusive of Flack's
Code of Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (1947
Edition), being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel County", sub-
title "Police", and to enact 17 new sections in lieu thereof,
said new sections to be known as Sections 416, 417, 418,
419, 420, 421, 422, 423, 424, 425, 426, 427, 428, 429,
430, 431, 432, and to follow immediately after Section
415 of said Code, said new sections to be under a new
sub-title "Police Department", all relating to the Anne
Arundel County Police Department.
