vided, that this section shall apply only in Anne Arundel
and Carroll Counties. Provided also, that the sum granted
to any applicant by the said County Commissioners shall be
such that when added to whatever any such person is receiving
from the Teachers' Retirement System, the total shall not
exceed One Hundred Dollars per month.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

(House Bill 679)

AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 18 of Article 2B
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title
"Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Beer, Wine and Liquor
Licenses", said new sub-section to be known as Sub-section
(hh), and to follow immediately after Sub-section (h) of
said section, as sub-section (h) was enacted by Chapter 70
of the Acts of the 1948, Special Session, relating to issu-
ance of Class C Licenses in Frederick County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to Sec-
tion 18 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title
"Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses", said new sub-section to be
known as Sub-section (hh), and to follow immediately after
Sub-section (h) of said section, as Sub-section (h) was
enacted by Chapter 70 of the Acts of the 1948, Special Ses-

(hh) In Frederick County after June 1, 1949, no such
license shall be issued to any club which has not been in busi-
ness or regularly operating for at least three years prior to
applying for such license. Provided that this shall not apply
to any nationally chartered and recognized bona fide fraternal,
charitable or veterans organization.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.
