also act as Clerk to said Council. The salary of said Treasurer
of Morningside shall be fixed by resolution of Council of
Morningside, but at no time shall said salary be in excess of
Six Hundred and Seventy-five Dollars ($675. 00) per annum.

(J) That each of the Councilmen appointed in Section 12
of this Act shall before entering upon the duties of his office,
take oath, before a Justice of the Peace or other officer or
person (including a Notary Public), authorized by law to
administer oaths in Prince George's County, that he will
diligently and faithfully discharge all the duties of his office.
Each of the Councilmen selected under Section 10 of this
Act shall likewise take such an oath, but such oath of any
of such last named Councilmen may be taken either before the
retiring Secretary of Council or before a Justice of the
Peace, or other officer or person (including a Notary Public),
authorized by law to administer oaths in said County. Such
oaths, or a certified copy of the same, shall be kept among the
town records.

(K) The said Treasurer of Morningside, before entering
upon the duties of his office shall take oath, before the Secre-
tary of Council, or before a Justice of the Peace or other
officer or person (including a Notary Public), authorized to
administer, oaths in Prince George's County, that he will
diligently, faithfully and honestly discharge all the duties of
his office, and also shall give bond to the Town of Morningside,
with such surety or sureties as said Council may by resolu-
tion require, in the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10, 000. 00).
The cost of said bond shall be paid out of town funds. Said
bond, or a certified copy thereof, shall be kept among the town
records.

(L) That said Council may, by resolution unanimously
adopted, remove any person from the office of Treasurer of
Morningside whenever in the judgment of said Council the
welfare of said town requires such action. And any person
accepting the office of Treasurer of Morningside, by so accept-
ing said office, consents and agrees that said Council has such
power so to remove him from office and of finally terminating
any right on his part to receive or hold any funds, money,
property, records, books, papers or other things or thing of
said town. And the person so removed from the office of
Treasurer of Morningside shall turn over to the said Council
or to the Secretary of Council any and all funds, money, prop-
erty, records, books, papers or other thing or things of said
town in his possession within five (5) days (including Sun-
days and holidays), after he shall have been notified of the
adoption of such resolution so removing him from office,
