61. (Special Elections. ) Special elections may be held at
such other times and for such purposes as the Town Com-
missioners may determine, in the same manner as a general
election.

62. (Qualifications of Voters. ) Any person shall be eligible
to vote in Town elections who is a resident of Queen Anne's
County; qualified to vote for the members of the General
Assembly of Maryland; and who is assessed with One Hun-
dred Dollars ($100. 00) or more of real or personal property
on the tax assessment records of the Town upon which all
taxes and other charges have been paid for the preceding
calendar year.

63. (Election Officials. ) Not later than one week before
any Town election the Town Commissioners shall appoint
a justice of the peace of Queen Anne's County residing in
said Town a judge of election, who shall appoint a clerk of
election. The clerk so appointed, before he proceeds to act
as such, shall take an oath before said justice of the peace
that he will truly, faithfully and impartially take down the
names of all such persons as shall be permitted by the said
judge to vote at such election.

64. (Records. ) The Town Clerk shall prepare a certified
list of the names of all persons appearing on the tax rolls
assessed with One Hundred Dollars (f 100. 00) or more of
real or personal property and deliver the same to the judge
of election before the opening of the polls on the day of any
election.

65. (Costs. ) The Town Commissioners shall pay all actual
and reasonable expenses of any election, including compen-
sation to the election officials not exceeding the sum of Ten
Dollars ($10. 00) each for such election.

66. (Polling Place. ) The polling place for any such elec-
tions shall be in a room of the Court House in Centreville
to be selected by the judge of election and the same shall
be opened at the hour of 9 o'clock, A. M., and shall be closed
at 6 o'clock, P. M. No votes shall be taken before or after
said hours respectively or at a place other than the room
designated as aforesaid.

67. (Tabulation. ) (a) After the poll is closed the said
judge shall proceed forthwith, in the presence of such per-
sons as he may designate, to count the ballots, and shall
ascertain and publicly declare the name of the person having
