may increase fire hazards or interfere with the proper and
efficient operation of firemen in extinguishing fires or in pre-
venting the spread of fires.
(d) It shall be the duty of the Fire Marshal to enforce the
rules and regulations adopted under the provisions of this
section, to order the removal of any fire hazard and to make
any repairs and improvement to comply with said rules and
regulations, and to report to the said Mayor and Council all
violations of such rules and regulations and the names of
all persons who refuse to comply with his orders for repairs,
removal of fire hazards, etc. Any person ordered by the Fire
Marshal to make any repairs or improvements shall have the
right of appeal to said Mayor and Council, and from the de-
cision of the said Mayor and Council he shall have a successive
right of appeal to any trial magistrate sitting in the town of
Crisfield and to the Circuit Court of Somerset County.
(e) Any person violating the provisions of this section or
the rules and regulations promulgated under its authority or
any lawful order of the Fire Marshal shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be subject to
a fine of not more than One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00) for
each such violation.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-sec-
tion (b) of Section 38 of Article 39 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1947 Supplement) title "Fish and Fisheries",
sub-title "Further Regulations in County Waters", relat-
ing to the use of certain weirs, nets and seines in the
waters of Dorchester County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section (b) of Section 38 of Article 39 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Fish
and Fisheries", sub-title "Further Regulations in County
Waters", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
