sub-title "Tidal Waters", relating to distances between
pound and stake nets.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section (b) of Section 29 of Article 39 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Fish
and Fisheries", subtitle "Tidal Waters", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
29.
(b) (1) No pound net shall at any time be set or used
closer to another pound net than 1500 yards in the Chesa-
peake Bay and 500 yards in the tributaries of the Chesa-
peake Bay, measured at right angles to the line of stakes,
provided that all pound net sets licensed in the Chesapeake
Bay and its tributaries may retain the locations lawfully
occupied by them as of June 1, 1949.
(2) No stake net shall at any time be set or used closer to
another stake net or to a pound; net, than 400 yards, meas-
ured at right angles to the line of stakes. Any stake or fyke
net may be set closer to any pound net than the distance
provided in this sub-section if the owner of the pound net
location gives written permission therefor.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
252 of the Public Local Code of Prince George's County,
(Flack's Edition, 1943), title "Plats", as enacted by Chap-
ter 261 of the Acts of 1947, to require the approval of
the County Engineer of width of highways on plats to be
recorded, in accordance with regulations of the Board of
County Commissioners.
