certified copies of books, papers, etc., of the State Depart-
ment of Health and the State Board of Health shall be re-
ceived as evidence in any court of law or equity or before
any judge, justice of the peace or other tribunal in this
State.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
35 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Evidence", sub-title "Public Statutes and Office Copies and
Official Certificates", said new section to be known as Section
86A, to follow immediately after Section 86 of said Article,
and to read as follows:

86A. A Copy or photostat of any books, papers, entries,
records or proceedings pertaining to the State Department
of Health or the State Board of Health, when certified to by
the Director of Health and the Secretary of the State Board
of Health as being correct, shall be received as evidence in
any court of law or equity, or before any judge, justice of
the peace, or other tribunal in this State, or before any
board, commission or agency of this State, in the same man-
ner and to the same effect as if the original books, papers,
entries, records or proceedings were themselves produced.

SEC. 2. And be It further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

CHAPTER 11
(House Bill 15)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
68 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Health", sub-title "Vaccine Virus", elimi-
nating the provision requiring advertisements as to the
publication as to the distribution of smallpox vaccine.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 68 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Health", sub-title "Vaccine
Virus", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

68. The State Board of Health shall keep on hand, and
procure as often as may be necessary, pure vaccine virus, and
