Chester County, and to be spent only as provided in Section
4 of this Act.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the County
Commissioners of Dorchester County be, and they are
hereby authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to
use the proceeds from the sale of any bonds issued under
this Act, either alone or in conjunction with any other
County, State or Federal funds available for that purpose
to provide for the maintenance, repair, rehabilitation or
reconstruction of Shorter's Wharf Bridge, Taylor's Island
Bridge, and Harrison Ferry Bridge in Dorchester County,
and to pay any expense incurred in the maintenance,
repair, rehabilitation or reconstruction of said bridges.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That for the pur-
pose of paying the interest on such bonds as may be issued
under the provisions of this Act, and redeeming them as
they mature, the County Commissioners of Dorchester
County shall include in the levy for the year after their
issuance and each year thereafter until they mature and
have been redeemed an amount sufficient to pay the
annual interest on the bonds and to redeem them as they
mature.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1949.

CHAPTER 490

(Senate Bill 445)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
48 (b) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1947 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages",
sub-title "Procedure for Issue of Licenses", and Sections
135 (d) and 138 (d) of said Article, sub-title "Boards
of License Commissioners", relating to notices required
to be posted on premises described in application for
licenses, the compensation of the members of the Board
of License Commissioners of Baltimore City, the ap-
pointment and compensation of its Executive Secretary
and the number of its part-time employees.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 48 (b) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code
