of. Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Bever-
ages", sub-title "Procedure for Issue of Licenses", and
Sections 135 (d) and 138 (d) of said Article, sub-title
"Boards of License Commissioners", be and they are here-
by repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
48.
(b) (Notice on the Premises. ) If the application be in
Baltimore City, or in Allegany, Baltimore, Washington, or
Prince George's Counties, the Board shall cause a suitable
sign or notice to be posted and to remain posted for a
period of ten days in a conspicuous place upon the premises
described in the application, said posting to be done at
least ten days before action upon such application, and
said notice shall also specify the class of license applied
for and the time and place fixed by the Board for hearing
upon the application.
135.
(d) (Baltimore City. ) In Baltimore City, the Chair-
man of the Board shall receive an annual salary of Seven
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7, 500. 00), and the
other members of the Board shall receive an annual salary
of Five Thousand Dollars ($5, 000. 00). The Board shall
appoint an Executive Secretary who shall be a resident of
Baltimore City and whose salary shall be fixed by the
Board, subject to the approval of the Board of Estimates
of Baltimore City.
138.
(d) (Baltimore City. ) In Baltimore City (1) no
Commissioner, or employee of the Board shall have any
interest, direct or indirect, either proprietary or by means
of any loan, mortgage or lien, or in any other manner,
in or on any premises where alcoholic beverages are manu-
factured or sold; nor shall he have any interest, direct or
indirect, in any business wholly or partially devoted to the
manufacture or sale of alcoholic beverages, or own any
stock in any corporation which has any interest, proprie-
tary or otherwise, direct or indirect, in any premises
where alcoholic beverages are manufactured or sold or
in any business wholly or partially devoted to the manu-
facture or sale of alcoholic beverages, or hold any other
public office or employment, Federal, State or local.
(2) Every employee of said Board shall devote his
whole time and attention to the business of the Board
