chrome, with the latter prevailing. In addition, each such
school bus shall be equipped with two alternately-flashing
red stop lights on the rear of the vehicle and two alternate-
ly-flashing red stop lights on the front of the vehicle. These
warning signal lights shall be mounted at the top of the
bus in such a manner as to be visible to other vehicles
either approaching or following said buses and shall be
lighted and operating at all times while said buses are
loading or discharging school children but at no other
time.

(c) School buses purchased or in use prior to Sep-
tember 1, 1949, and regularly in use as a school bus after
that date may conform either to sub-section (a) or (b)
above.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect September 1, 1949.

CHAPTER 445

(Senate Bill 231)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
301 of Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), as amended by Chapter 445
of the Laws of Maryland (1931 Edition), title "Somer-
set County, " sub-title "Princess Anne, " relating to the
election of Commissioners in the Town of Princess Anne.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 301 of Article 20 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), as amended by Chapter
445 of the Laws of Maryland (1931 Edition), title "Som-
erset County, " sub-title "Princess Anne, " be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

301. (a) Every citizen of the United States above the
age of twenty-one years, who shall have resided within the
corporate limits of the Town of Princess Anne for one
year next preceding an election for town commissioners of
said Town of Princess Anne, shall be entitled to vote at
said election, provided he or she be registered as herein-
after provided; and every person above the age of twenty-
