sub-title), in order to effectuate the purposes of this sub-
title.

325. All additional expense incurred in municipal gen-
eral elections hereafter held in the City of Baltimore, made
necessary by virtue of this sub-title, shall be borne by the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore and the Board of
Supervisors of Elections of Baltimore City, or any substi-
tute that may be appointed by said Board shall be com-
pensated as provided for in municipal primary elections
in Senate Bill No. 524, as enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, 1945 Session; and the expenses of the War
Ballot Commission shall be provided for in the same
manner.

326. The municipal general elections hereafter held in

the City of Baltimore shall be held on the Tuesday next

after the first Monday in May of each and every year, as

-provided in Section 16 of the Charter of Baltimore City

(1938 Edition).

327. It shall be the duty of the Board of Supervisors
of Elections of Baltimore City to provide that all ballots
proper to be used in any municipal general election here-
after held under this sub-title in the City of Baltimore,
shall be printed and ready to be mailed out to Absentee
Residents not less than fifty days (50) prior to the date
of said municipal general election.

328. An Absentee Resident shall be entitled to be sent
an Absentee Ballot, as hereinbefore provided, only if the
application therefor is received by the Board of Super-
visors of Elections of Baltimore City at least five days (5)
before the date of an election; and it shall be the further
duty of the Board of Supervisors of Elections to retain
the names and addresses of Absentee Residents who apply
for an Absentee Ballot to be used in the municipal primary
elections, and to send to the said Absentee Residents so
applying, an Absentee Ballot to be used in the municipal
general election, unless the said Absentee Resident is
known to be dead or definitely states in his prior applica-
tion that he is interested in voting in the primary election
only.

329. For the purposes of this Act, in construing any
section or sections, Senate Bill No. 524, as enacted by the
General Assembly of Maryland, 1945 Session (which said
Bill is more fully described in Section 319 of this sub-title),
and which said Bill or Act is incorporated into this Act.
