CHAPTER, 696.
(Senate Bill 617)

AN ACT to repeal Section 229 of Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, (1930 Edition), title
"Allegany County, " sub-title "Frostburg, " sub-heading
"Powers, " said section relating to the issue of tokens,
notes, etc. as currency.

WHEREAS, the provisions of this section are no longer
applicable; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 229 of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Allegany County, "
sub-title "Frostburg, " sub-heading "Powers, " be and it is
hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

Approved April 23, 1945.

CHAPTER 697.
(Senate Bill 644)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 573-5", inclusive, of Article 1
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Allegany County, " sub-title "Schools, "
sub-heading "Flags over School Buildings, " authorizing
the County Commissioners to levy funds for placing
flags over school buildings.

WHEREAS, Section 234 of Article 77 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland provides for having flags over school
buildings; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 573-5", inclusive, of Article 1 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Allegany County, " sub-title "Schools, " sub-heading "Flags
over School Buildings, " be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.
