SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 81 and 82 of Article 9 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Charles
County", sub-title "County Commissioners", Section 82 having
been amended by Chapter 103 of the Acts of 1937, be and they
are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

81. He shall upon application exhibit the books,, papers
and levies in his office and make certified copies or extracts
thereof for any person demanding the same, and charge for the
same, for the use of the county, such fees as are chargeable
by the Clerk of the Circuit Court for similar work, and such
copies, under the seal of the County Commissioners, shall be
evidence to the same extent as the originals would be if pro-
duced in proceedings in court or otherwise; all fees received
from this source, however, shall be accounted for to the County
Commissioners by the said clerk and treasurer. He shall also
act as transfer clerk and shall enter on the assessment books
all transfers of property in Charles County and shall keep the
same office hours as the Clerk of the Circuit Court of said
county.

82. He shall receive a salary not exceeding fifteen hundred
dollars per annum, payable monthly or semi-monthly and shall
receive no extra or other compensation or fees of any kind
for the duties now imposed upon himself by law by the
provisions of this sub-title or otherwise, which may properly
appertain to his office.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1st, 1945.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Licenses", sub-title
"Traders", said new section to be known as Section 73 1/2
and to follow immediately after Section 73 of said Article,
prohibiting the sale of tobacco products by wholesalers to
retail dealers not holding a retailer's license authorizing
them to sell tobacco products, and exempting retail stands
