CHAPTER. 626.
(Souse Bill 673)

AN ACT to repeal Section 535 of Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter
(1938 Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Fines and
Forfeitures", said section relating to fines for violation of
ordinances of incorporated cities and towns.

WHEREAS, this section is a duplication of Section 1 of Article
38 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition); there-
fore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 535 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter (1938 Edition),
title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Fines and Forfeitures", be
and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

Approved April 23, 1945.

CHAPTER 627.

(House Bill 674)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 963 and 964 of Article 4 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City
Charter (1938 Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title
"Thieves and Pickpockets", said sections relating to the
duty of police officers and detectives to arrest persons be-
lieved to be common thieves and pickpockets.

WHEREAS, these sections are the same as Sections 581-583,
inclusive, of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1939 Edition); therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 963 and 964 of Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter
(1938 Etiiti6n), title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Thieves and
Pickpockets", be and they are hereby repealed.
