shall include the same area and be bounded by the same bound-
aries as each of the eleven precincts now established in Fred-
erick District, in Frederick County, Maryland, for State and
County elections except that no precinct in Frederick City
shall extend beyond the corporate limits of Frederick, but each
of them shall extend to the corporate limits of Frederick City.
And the said qualified voters of said city shall vote at their
respective polls for a Mayor, for a City Register and for five
Aldermen, all of which officials shall be voted for at large by
the voters of the entire city.
SEC. 2. And be U further enacted, That Section 1 of this
Act shall not become effective until it shall have been sub-
mitted, for adoption or rejection, to the qualified voters of
Frederick City at the City Election for Mayor, City Register
and Aldermen next after the passage of this Act. There shall
be printed on the ballots to be used at said election the title
of this Act and underneath said title on separate lines, a
square box to the right of and opposite the words "For Four
Year Term", and a corresponding square or box to the right
of and opposite the words "Against Four Year Term", so that
the voters shall be able to designate by a cross mark in the
proper square or box his or her decision for or against said
question. If a majority of the votes cast on said question
shall be "For Four Year Term", then Section 1 of this Act
shall become effective thirty (30) days after said election, un-
less such election be contested, in which event it shall take
effect one week after the final determination of such contest,
and the Mayor, City Register and Aldermen elected at said
election shall hold office until the third Monday of June 1950
or until their successors are duly elected and qualified, but if a
majority of the votes cast thereon shall be "Against Four
Year Term", then this Act shall be null and, void and of no
effect whatsoever.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

AN ACT to repeal Section 6 of Article 69 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Officers", said sec-
tion requiring the Elections Committees of the two Houses
to receive certain information from the Treasury.
