of Prince George's County as is, under the provisions of this
Act, annexed to and made a part of the said City of Hyatts-
ville; nothing herein, or elsewhere in this Act, shall affect the
power of The Mayor and City Council of Hyattsville to amend
or repeal any ordinance existing at the date of the passage of
this Act, or to enact and ordain any ordinance which, at the
date of the passage of this Act, or hereafter, it may be -author-
ized to enact and ordain,
. 724C. The Board of County Commissioners of Prince
George's County shall pay or cause to be paid annually to
The Mayor and City Council of Hyattsville, three-fourths of
the full amount of the road and bridge tax levied and collected
each fiscal year from property taxed for such purposes within
the limits of the corporation of The Mayor and City Council
of Hyattsville as enlarged by this Act. Any portion of said
three-fourths of said road and bridge tax collected by said
County Commissioners after the fiscal year for which the same
was levied, shall be accounted for and paid over to the said
The Mayor and City Council of Hyattsville from time to time
in the year in which the same shall be collected; said road and
bridge tax shall be refunded and paid for the fiscal year 1945,
and for each fiscal year thereafter, and any special tax or
appropriation now or hereafter made, distributed or appor-
tioned by the State Roads Commission or any other agency,
and authorized to be expended for road purposes within incor-
porated towns, shall be computed and paid over to The Mayor
and City Council of Hyattsville upon the basis of the limits of
the City of Hyattsville as enlarged by this Act. The money
so received by the said The Mayor and City Council of Hyatts-
ville shall be used for the repair and improvement of the
streets, avenues, roads, alleys and sidewalks within its corpo-
rate limits as enlarged by this Act.
724D. The new tei^ritory hereby annexed to said City of
Hyattsville by this Act shall constitute and be known as the
Fourth Ward of the City of Hyattsville, provided that if this
Act is approved as herein provided, The Mayor and City
Council of Hyattsville shall have the power to re-establish the
boundary line between the existing Second Ward and the
proposed Fourth Ward so that the same may follow 37th
Avenue from Hamilton Street to 38th Avenue, thence along
38th Avenue to the property of the Sacred Heart Home, thence
easterly along said property to the present western boundary
of the City of Hyattsville. The Fourth Ward hereby created
shall be represented in the government of the City by two
councilmen to be appointed by The Mayor and City Council
of Hyattsville before July 1, 1945, who upon taking the oath
