Also that parcel of land lying south of Shepherd Street,
bounded on the west by an extension of the rear line of
the lots in Block lettered "S" of said sub-division; on the
south by the right of way of the Pennsylvania Railroad,
and on the east by a line parallel to the western boundary
to the point where such line intersects the easterly line
extended of the lots in Block lettered "W"; thence along
the easterly line extended of said lots to the southeast
corner of lot numbered Eleven (11) in said Block let-
tered "W".

Section 3. The Town of Landover Hills shall be divided into
three wards for election purposes as follows:

First Ward: The First Ward shall embrace all of that part
of the town lying south and west of the center line of Taylor
Street.

Second Ward: The Second Ward shall embrace all of that
part of the town lying between the center line of Varnum
Street and the center line of Taylor Street.

Third Ward: The Third Ward shall embrace all of that part
of the town lying between the center line of Varnum Street
and the southerly line of Defense Highway, which is sometimes
called Annapolis Road.

Section 4. The government of said town shall be vested in
a Mayor and Town Councilmen composed of a Mayor elected
at large from the town and six councilmen, two to be elected
from each ward as hereinafter provided, all of whom shall
serve without compensation.

Section 5, The Mayor shall be elected for a term of four
years, except that the first Mayor elected hereunder shall serve
only for a term of two years. Two of said Councilmen shall
be elected from each of the three wards of which the town is
composed, and each councilman shall be elected for a term
of four years, except that at the first election to be held here-
under, one councilman from each of said wards shall be elected
for a period of two years, and in the event of any vacancy
occurring during the term of office of any Councilman or the
Mayor, the election shall be for the unexpired term. A Treas-
urer shall be elected from the town at large and shall be
elected for a term of two years. The Mayor, Treasurer, and
Councilmen shall hold their respective offices for the several
terms aforesaid and until their successors shall have been
