bonds authorized hereby and outstanding at the time of
such levy, it being the intention hereof that said bonds
hereby authorized shall be issued upon the full faith and
credit of the County Commissioners of Montgomery County,
but that said debt service charges shall constitute a first
lien upon the proceeds collected from the levy of the special
ad valorem tax levied pursuant to the authority of Chapter
570 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland
passed at the 1943 Session, hereinabove referred to. Noth-
ing herein contained shall be construed as a modification or
amendment of any of the provisions of Chapter 570 of the
Acts of the General Assembly, of Maryland passed at the
1943 Session in so far as they relate to the normal opera-
tions of said Hillandale Volunteer Fire Department, Incor-
porated, said Fire Board or the expenditure of the pro-
ceeds of said special tax, after deducting from said pro-
ceeds the amounts necessary for debt service on the bonds
hereby authorized, as aforesaid.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 424.
(Senate Bill 456)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 313-315 of Article 4, of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland & Baltimore
City Charter (1938 Edition), title "Baltimore City, "
sub-title "Assault and Battery, " relating to assault and
battery in Baltimore City between 6. 00 P. M. and 6. 00
A. M.

WHEREAS, all assaults are prosecuted under the pro-
visions of Article 27 of the State Code; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 313-315 of Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland & Baltimore City Charter (1938
Edition), title "Baltimore City, " sub-title "Assault and
Battery, " be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.
