WHEREAS, these sections are no longer applicable, particu-
larly in view of the powers conferred upon the Public Service
Commission; therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 379-382, inclusive, of Article 27 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and
Punishments", sub-title "Heating Steam Railroad Passenger
Cars", be and they are hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 51.
(House Bill 129)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 22 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wash-
ington County", sub-title "Hancock", said new section to be
known as Section 507B and to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 507A of said Article, to authorize and empower the
Mayor and Council of Hancock to acquire by gift, grant,
or purchase, real estate and/or personal property and/or
other assets from Hancock War Memorial Foundation, Inc.,
and to provide for the care and maintenance of said prop-
erty.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Washington County", sub-title "Hancock", said
new section to be known as Section 507B, to follow imme-
diately after Section 507A of said Article and to read as
follows:
507B. The Mayor and Council of Hancock shall have and
are hereby vested with power and authority to accept and
acquire title to any real estate and/or personal property
and/or other assets owned by Hancock War Memorial Founda-
tion, Inc., a corporation created under the general incorpora-
tion laws of the State of Maryland, either by gift, grant, or
purchase from said Hancock War Memorial Foundation, Inc.;
and the said Mayor and Council of Hancock shall have full
