SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section to Article 11 of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws of Maryland, title "Banks and Trust Compan-
ies, " sub-title "Credit Unions, " be enacted to read as
follows:

152. Loans may be made to members, not to exceed
Fifteen hundred dollars ($1500), on first mortgage lien
security, nor to exceed 50% of the appraised value of the
property to be mortgaged; such loans however are to be
at the rate of not more than six per centum (6%) and to
be amortized over a period not exceeding twenty years,
and are only to be made upon the approval of the Bank
Commissioner.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 410.
(Senate Bill 391)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 23 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Corpora-
tions, " sub-title "Railroad Companies, " said new section
to follow immediately after Section 210 of said Article,
and to be known as Section 210 A, relating to the con-
demnation powers of Railroad Companies.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 23
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Corporations, " sub-title "Railroad Companies, " said new
section to follow immediately after Section 210 of said
Article and to be known as Section 210A, and to read as
follows:

210A. The powers conferred by this Article upon Rail-
road Companies to condemn land and other property shall
be deemed to include the power to condemn, for railroad
purposes, private crossings or ways however created and
land and other property to provide substitute outlets.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.
