108. He shall give annually a corporate surety bond to the
State in such penal sum as the State Comptroller may pre-
scribe, with condition that he faithfully perform the duties of
said office and account for all funds and property received
under color of said office; which bond shall be deposited with
the said Comptroller.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 12
of Article 54 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edi-
tion), title "Land Office", sub-title "Commissioner—His
Powers and Duties", relating to the bond of the Commis-
sioner of the Land Office.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 121 of Article 54 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Land Office", sub-title "Com-
missioner—His Powers and Duties", be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

12. He shall give annually to the State a corporate surety
bond in such penal sum as the State Comptroller may pre-
scribe, with condition that he will faithfully perform the duties
of his office and account for all funds received under color of
said office; and said bonds $hall be filed with the State Comp-
troller.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.
