. in the City of Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland, and
to ratify and confirm the conveyance by said Board of Edu-
cation of Wicomico County, Maryland, to William T. Hol-
land and S. Norman Holland of a part of said "Academy
Lot" by deed dated February 11, 1941, and recorded among
the Land Records of Wicomico County, Maryland, in Liber
J. W. S. No. 232, folio 463.

WHEREAS, by virtue of Chapter 208 of the Acts of 1874, the
Trustees of Salisbury Academy were authorized and empow-
ered to convey the property held by them in trust for said
Academy to the School Commissioners of Wicomico County
for the purpose and use of a high school for said county and
for no other use or purpose whatsoever; and

WHEREAS, said Trustees of Salisbury Academy neglected to
convey said property to said School Commissioners of Wi-
comico County; and

WHEREAS, by virtue of Chapter 25 of the Acts of 1888 the
School Commissioners of Wicomico County sold and conveyed
to Levin D. Collier all that part of the "Academy Lot", in the
City of Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland, fronting and
binding upon Division Street sixty-one (61) feet, more or less,
and extending back one hundred sixty-five (165) feet, more or
less, and bounded on the South by a lot of Laura F. Powell,
on the North by the Joshua M. Briety lot and on the West
by that part of the "Academy Lot" as then fenced and used
and occupied for public school purposes; and

WHEREAS, the remainder of the "Academy Lot", being no
longer used for school purposes, was sold and conveyed by
said Board of Education of Wicomico County, Maryland, along
with other property-owned by it, to William T. Holland and
S. Norman Holland by deed dated February 11, 1941, and
recorded among the Land Records of Wicomico County, Mary-
land, in Liber J. W. S. No. 232, folio 463; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sale and grant and deed by the Board of Edu-
cation of Wicomico County, Maryland, to William T. Holland
and S. Norman Holland, dated February 11, 1941, and re-
corded among the Land Records of said Wicomico County,
Maryland, in Liber J. W. S. No. 232, folio 463, of all that
portion of the "Academy Lot" situate in the City of Salis-
bury, in Wicomico County, Maryland, and not heretofore con-
veyed to Levin D. Collier and included in said deed, be and
it is hereby ratified, confirmed and validated.
