CHAPTER 30.
(House Bill 9)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section
(a) of Section 285 of Article 66 1. 2 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles",
sub-title "Operation of Vehicles Upon Highways", relating
to the time within which all fines shall be paid over to the
Department of Motor Vehicles.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section (a) of Section 285 of Article 66 1/2 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Motor
Vehicles", sub-title "Operation of Vehicles Upon Highways",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
285. (Disposition of Fines and Other Receipts of the
Department. ) (a) All fines, penalties, and forfeitures of
bonds, or any kind of authorized security, imposed or col-
lected under any of the provisions of this Article shall be paid
over on the second and fourth Mondays of each month after
receipt thereof to the Department with a statement accompany-
ing the same, setting forth, the action of proceedings in which
such monies were collected, the name and residence of the
defendant, the nature of the offense, and the fine, penalty, for-
feiture or sentence, if any imposed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 31.
(House Bill 23)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section
(c) of Section 11 of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-
title "Administration—Registration—Titling", relating to
fees to be charged by the Department for certain records.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section (c) of Section 11 of Article 66 1/2 of the
