1966 JOINT RESOLUTIONS.

Construction Fund for improvements to the Calvert
County Hospital at Prince Frederick.

WHEREAS, The United States has provided for Emer-
gency Maternity and Infant Care for the Wives and Infants
Of Servicemen; and

WHEREAS, Before Federal Funds can be expended for
such care at hospitals, it is necessary for the State Health
Department to certify that adequate facilities are available
at the several hospitals; and

WHEREAS, the present Calvert County Hospital does not
have adequate separate facilities for maternity cases; and

WHEREAS, This Hospital covers a considerable area for
which no other hospital facilities are available; and

WHEREAS, It is most urgent and important that adequate
facilities be provided to take care of maternity patients,
especially for the wives of servicemen, in order to receive
Federal Funds; therefore be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Board of Public Works be and it is hereby requested to
allocate at least $10, 000 from the Post-War Construction
Fund for improvements to the Calvert County Hospital at
Prince Frederick so that separate facilities may be pro-
vided for maternity cases.

A. Resolution expressing thanks and appreciation of the
General Assembly to the Attorney General and his staff.

WHEREAS, The Honorable William C. Walsh, Attorney
General, and Hall Hammond, Deputy Attorney General,
and Messrs. T. Barton Harrington, J. Edgar Harvey, and
K. Thomas Everngam, Assistant Attorneys General, have
given untiringly and unstintingly of their time and services
during the present session of the General Assembly to the
members of the General Assembly in the preparation and
