SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 37, 38 and 39 of Article 8 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Cecil County, " sub-title "Auctions, " be and they are here-
by repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 224.
(Senate Bill 229)
AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 96i/2 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland, title "Veterans, " (said Article
having been added by the General Assembly of Maryland
of 1945), said new Section to follow immediately after
Section 41 of said Article, and to be known as Section 42,
and to provide that it shall be unlawful for unauthorized
persons to wear military or other official uniforms, de-
fining such uniforms and providing a penalty for vio-
lation of this Act.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,,
That a new Section be added to Article 96 1/2 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1943 Supp. ), title "Veterans, "
to follow immediately after Section 41 of said Article, and
to be known as Section 42, said new Section to read as
follows:
42. Any person who, without authority under the laws
of the United States or of this State wears the uniform or
a distinctive part thereof or a uniform or part thereof
similar to the uniform of the State Guard, National Guard
or Naval Militia of this State or of another State or of the
United States, or of the United States Army, Navy, Ma-
rine Corps, Coast Guard, or any auxiliary of any of these
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punishable by fine of
not less than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than
five hundred dollars ($500) or by imprisonment for not
more than sixty (60) days or by both fine and imprison-
ment.
As used in this Section the terms "uniform" or "part"
or "distinctive part" of a uniform shall not include such
articles of wearing apparel as shoes, socks, shirts, ties or
