scarfs, and shall not include trousers, overalls, overcoat,
rain coats, field jackets and headgear from which the
service buttons, insignia and other distinctive markings
have been removed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and being passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 225.
(Senate Bill 355)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
696 of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington County, "
sub-title "Public Local Laws, " relating to publishing the
Public Local Laws of Washington County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 696 of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington Coun-
ty, " sub-title "Public Local Laws, " be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as fol-
lows:

696. The County Commissioners of Washington County
are hereby authorized to advertise or publish such of the
public local laws enacted at each session of the General
Assembly relating to Washington County as said Com-
missioners think desirable, the said advertisement to
be in such newspaper or newspapers as said Commission-
ers shall determine. The said Commissioners may also
advertise or publish any reports or other matters which
they may think necessary or desirable.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.
