alcoholic beverage to be consumed on the licensed premises
between the hours of 12: 00 midnight on Saturday and 6: 00
A. M. the following Monday, except that holders of any "On
Sale" retail alcoholic beverage licenses may sell beer and light
wine on Sunday between the hours of 8: 00 A. M. and 12: 00
midnight, and no holder of a Class A Beer, Wine and Liquor
License shall be permitted to make any sale between the hours
of midnight and 6: 00 A. M., or on Sunday.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the Mayor, Counselor and
Aldermen of the City of Annapolis to assume the obligation
of paying the interest on the principal of certain bonds of
the Anne Arundel County Sanitary Commission, of Anne
Arundel County and of the Annapolis Metropolitan Sewer- f
age Commission in the event of the annexation of certain
areas or territory to the City of Annapolis and to levy suffi-
cient taxes to pay for same and to authorize said Mayor,
Counselor and Aldermen to provide by ordinance for the
abolition of the front foot tax which is now imposed and
collected for the water and sewer systems in the territory
so annexed and that property and persons in such annexed
territory shall only be subject to the same taxes, including
water, sewer and other municipal taxes or charges, as prop-
erty or persons in the rest of the City.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor, Counselor and Aldermen of the City of
Annapolis are hereby authorized and directed, in the event of
the annexation of any areas or territory to the City of Annap-
olis, to pass ordinance or ordinances (1) to assume the obli-
gation of paying $186, 000 of bonds outstanding of the Anne
Arundel County Sanitary Commission (Eastport), $25, 000 of
bonds of said Commission (Homewood) and $15, 000 of Anne
Arundel County road bonds and to guarantee the payment of
. said bonds as they mature, with interest thereon and to levy
sufficient taxes to provide for said payment; (2) to provide
for the abolition of the front foot tax for water and sewers.
