HERBERT R. O'CONOR, GOVERNOR. 1855

Hundred Dollars ($2, 400. 00) and Eighteen Hundred Dol-
lars ($1, 800. 00) each, payable in equal monthly installments
and six (6) clerks at annual salaries of Fifteen Hundred Dol-
lars ($1, 500. 00) each, payable in monthly installments and may
also employ and appoint such additional clerks as may be
necessary for the proper transaction of the business of the
office, and fix their compensation. All assistants and all clerks
so appointed shall execute such bond or bonds as the Treas-
urer may require. The Board of County Commissioners for
Montgomery County is hereby authorized, empowered and di
rected to levy a tax upon the assessable property of said
county to pay the salaries and bond premiums above men
tioned and to pay the same.

Any Assistant Treasurer so appointed, shall upon the written
authority of the Treasurer, do and perform any act or acts which
can be legally performed by the Treasurer. The Board of County
Commissioners shall furnish to the Treasurer at the time that
the Treasurer's collection books and tax bills are prepared, in
accordance with Section 169 of this Article, information show-
ing all property within Montgomery County subject to assess-
ment, together with all information of the name of the owner
of all such property, a general description thereof, address
of said owner when the same is known, and the assessed value
of said property, any and all other information necessary to aid
said Treasurer to compute and enter the total amount of tax
chargeable against each lot or parcel of taxable property, and it
shall be the duty of the Treasurer to record on the Treas-
urer's books at the time of preparing his collection books and
tax bills for the levy from the assessment docket and such
information furnished him by the Board of County Commis-
sioners, as provided in this section, the amounts to be col-
lected by way of taxes upon any lot or parcel of taxable
property within Montgomery County; that no changes of
ownership or transfers of property be entered in said collection
books after they are prepared in accordance with this section
and Section 169 of this Article until the time of the prepara-
tion of said collection books for the next succeeding levy of
taxes.

195A. In addition to the three (3) Assistant Treasurers
as provided in Section 195 of this Article, the County Treas-
urer may appoint two (2) additional Assistant Treasurers,
one to be assigned to the County Building at Bethesda, and
one to be assigned to the County Building at Silver Spring,
and they shall be paid such salary as may be fixed by the
Board of County Commissioners of Montgomery County. The
two (2) additional Assistant Treasurers shall have all of the
authority to perform any act or acts which can be legally
