HERBERT R. O'CONOR GOVERNOR.. 1839

The County Accountant and Comptroller shall take the oath
of office prescribed by the Constitution of this State, and
shall furnish a bond in a penalty and form and with surety
satisfactory to the said Board, the premium for which shall
be levied for and paid out of the County Tax funds. The
present County Accountant shall be the County Accountant
and Comptroller designated by this Act until a successor shall
be appointed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 1041.

(House Bill 684)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 2 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne
Arundel County", under the new sub-title "Revenues from
State", to follow immediately after Section 408 of said Ar-
ticle and to be known as Section 408A, relating to the di-
vision of new revenues from the State among the election
districts of the county and Annapolis City, and the uses to
be made of such revenues.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section is hereby added to Article 2 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Anne Arundel County", under the new sub-title "Revenues
From State", to follow immediately after Section 408 of said
Article, to be known as Section 408A, and to read as follows:

REVENUES FROM STATE.

408A. Whenever any portion of any new State revenue
as hereinafter defined shall be allocated to Anne Arundel
County, unless the statute making the allocation shall specify
a different division or use of the same, the said County shall
remit one-seventh thereof to the City of Annapolis for such
uses as may be decided by the Mayor, Counselor and Alder-
men of said City. The remaining six-sevenths shall be placed
in the road funds of the other election districts of said Coun-
ty excluding the Sixth Election District, and shall be divided
among said other election districts in proportion to the asses-
sable basis of each of said other election districts. This Sec-
