Maryland in the penalty of twenty-five thousand dollars
($25, 000. 00), conditioned "for the faithful performance of his
duties as Treasurer of Harford County; said bond shall be
approved by the County Commissioners and a new bond shall
be given for each year of the term; the bond for the second,
third and fourth years to be executed, delivered and approved
before the levy of the taxes for the year is placed in his hands
for collection; and all such bonds shall as soon as approved
be recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Harford County.

473. The Treasurer shall receive as compensation for all of
his services as Treasurer an annual salary of Thirty-six Hun-
dred Dollars, to be paid monthly, and such commissions as
may accrue under the provisions of this Act.

474. The Treasurer shall Appoint a deputy treasurer, who
shall give such bond to the Treasurer as the said Treasurer
may require, and shall receive an annual salary as such deputy
treasurer of Eighteen Hundred Dollars ($1, 800. 00), payable
in monthly installments.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1st, 1945.

(House Bill 289)

AN ACT to add one new section to Article 89B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "State Roads",
said new section to be known as Section 7A, to follow
immediately after Section 7 of said Article, relating to con-
tracts for work let by the State Roads Commission and
requiring the State Roads Commission to provide for the
payment of minimum wages to labor in contracts let to
private contractors.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That one new section be and it is hereby added to Article
89B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"State Roads", said new section to be known as Section 7A,
to follow immediately after Section 7 of said Article, and to
read as follows:
