WHEREAS, the State does not own shares of stock in any cor-
poration at the present time, thereby rendering this Section
unnecessary; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 1 of Article 7 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Arbitration and Award", be
and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 20.
(Senate Bill 19)

AN ACT to repeal Section 3 of Article 20 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Constables", sub-
title "Qualifications" relating to the appointment of con-
stables in each new election district in the several counties
and each new ward in Baltimore City.

WHEREAS, constables are no longer appointed by election dis-
tricts or wards, thereby rendering this section unnecessary;
therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 3 of Article 20 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Constables", sub-title "Quali-
fications", be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 21.
(Senate Bill 20)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 284
of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Licenses", sub-title" "Bowling Saloons", pro-
viding that licenses for bowling alleys shall be transferable
and prorated.
