WHEREAS, Section 24 of Article 52 is almost identical with
Section 52 of Article 17, thereby making Section 52 of Article
17 unnecessary; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 52 of Article 17 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Clerks of Courts", sub-title
"General Duties of Clerks", be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 18.
(Senate Bill 15)

AN ACT to repeal Section 9 of Article 18 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Commissioners
to Take Acknowledgments", said section imposing a tax
on commissions issued to the Commissioners to Take Ac-
knowledgments.

WHEREAS, the general law relating to tax on commissions
has been repealed, so that this section is no longer applicable;
therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 9 of Article 18 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Commissioners to Take Ac-
knowledgments", be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

(Senate Bill 18)

AN ACT to repeal Section 1 of Article 7 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Arbitration and
Award", said section, relating to arbitration between em-
ployees and corporations in which the State is a stockholder
or creditor.
