permit shall be granted, the applicant shall file an application
with said Local Board of Health. At the time of filing said
application, the said applicant shall submit a list of the
names of ail persons having property or residing on property
adjoining his premises and the said Local Board of Health
shall send a notice to each of said persons notifying them that
application has been made for a permit for such stable,
kennel or hutch, as the case may be, staging that unless protest
is received from them within ten days, the said Board will
grant such permit, unless in the view of said Board such
structure would be detrimental to the public health generally.
After hearing any protests as to the granting of any permit,
it shall be within the discretion of said Board to grant or
refuse such permit.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1st, 1945.

(House Bill 11)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 57
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Revocation
and Suspension of Licenses", relating to the revocation and
suspension of licenses.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 57 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title
"Revocation and Suspension of Licenses", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
57. (Revocation and Suspensions — Causes for Which
Licenses May be Revoked or Suspended). Any license issued
under the provisions of this Article may be revoked or sus-
pended by the Comptroller in the case of licenses issued by him,
the Board of License Commissioners for Baltimore City, or any
County in the case of licenses required to be approved by them,
and by the State License Bureau in all other cases, for any
cause which in the judgment of the official, board or bureau, as
the case may be, shall be necessary to promote the peace or
safety of the community in which the place of business is
situated, and such license must be revoked or suspended for the
