CHAPTER 194.

(House Bill 242)

AN ACT to repeal Section 218A of Article 18 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen
Anne's County", sub-title "County Treasurer", as said sec-
tion was enacted by Chapter 21 of the Acts of 1941, said
section relating to the fiscal year of Queen Anne's County
and the date of finality in said county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 218A of Article 18 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's
County", sub-title "County Treasurer", as said section was
enacted by Chapter 21 of the Acts of 1941, be and it is hereby
repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1st, 1945.

Approved March 8, 1945.

CHAPTER 195.
(House Bill 300)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 14 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "How-
ard County", to be under sub-title "Fire Protection", saidt
new section to be known as Section 198A and to follow
immediately after Section 198 of said Article, requiring fire
extinguishers to be placed in all schools, motion picture
theatres and all places of public amusement or entertain-
ment in Howard County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Howard County", to be under sub-title "Fire Pro-
tection", said new section to be known as Section 198A, to
follow immediately after Section 198 of said Article, and to
read as follows:

198A. It shall be the duty of the owners or persons In charge
of all school buildings, motion picture theatres and other places
of public amusement or entertainment in Howard County to
