SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 7 of Chapter 935 of the Acts of Assembly of
1941, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
7. On the first Monday and first Tuesday in April of the
year in which a municipal election is to be held, the City
Clerk shall sit in the Council Chamber between the hours of
9. 00 A. M. and 7. 00 P. M. for the purpose of registering the
legally qualified voters of the City of Havre de Grace who are
not registered, and beginning in the year 1955 and during
every ten years thereafter, the City Clerk shall at the hours
and on the days mentioned compile an entire new registration
of voters. The Mayor is hereby authorized to appoint one or
more Deputy Clerks to assist the Clerk in said duties.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed upon by yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 225-227 of Article 18 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Queen Anne's County", sub-title "Elections", said sections
making it unlawful for any person to carry a dirk, dirk-knife,
razor, billy or bludgeon on election days.
WHEREAS, the provisions of these sections are probably no
longer necessary; therefore
SECTION 1. Be. it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 225-227 of Article 18 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's
County", sub-title "Elections", be and they are hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1st, 1945.
