white canvas one number corresponding to the dredging license
number and shall give to each person taking out such license
said number, which shall be securely sewed upon the star-
board side and in the middle of that part of the mainsail which
is above the close reef. This number shall be placed in an
upright position, worn at all times during the dredging season
and shall not be concealed or defaced.

(e) Transfer of Boat and License. It shall be lawful for
the owner of any licensed dredge boat, whenever said owner
shall sell and convey by bill of sale for a bona, fide considera-
tion such boat to any person who has been a resident of the
State for at least one year, to transfer said license to said
purchaser with said boat, and such license so transferred shall
entitle said purchaser to the same privileges of taking or catch-
ing oysters that the original owner had before such assign-
ment; provided both seller and purchaser appear before the
Commission of Tidewater Fisheries and make oath to all facts,
matters and things made in the application for such license
and that purchaser pay said Commission the sum of Five
Dollars ($5. 00), and that said Commission shall certify on the
license that such sum has been paid.

(f) Revision of Chesapeake Bay Dredging License. It shall
be the duty of the Department of Tidewater Fisheries and all
officers of said Department, at any time it shall be deemed
proper, to inspect and verify the measurements of any licensed
boat and the measurements ascertained by said Department,
or its officers, shall be deemed final and conclusive, and any
license previously granted shall be corrected and amended in
accordance with such measurements and the appropriate li-
cense fee paid in accordance with such corrected measurements,
and the rights previously granted by any license issued shall
be suspended until the full payment of such license fee be made
in accordance with the provisions of the law based on said
re-measurement.

(g) Disposition of License Fees. All fees received from
Chesapeake Bay dredging licenses shall be paid by the De-
partment of Tidewater Fisheries to the Comptroller of the
Treasury to be credited to the oyster fund.

(h) Privileges of a Chesapeake Bay Dredging License—
Locations. Any boat licensed to take or catch oysters by
dredge in the Chesapeake Bay may be used or employed in the
Chesapeake Bay as defined in this Article except in the fol-
lowing waters: that area bounded by a line drawn from Lows
Point on the mainland to the northern end of Poplar Island;
thence southerly around the westerly shore of Poplar Island
to the southwesterly most point; thence running in a straight
