CHAPTER 921.
(House Bill 837)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 62
of Article 39A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943
Supplement), title "Forestry", sub-title "Forest Conservancy
Districts", exempting maple tree camps and the business of
gathering maple sugar and maple syrup from the provisions
of this sub-title.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 62 of Article 39A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Forestry", sub-title "For-
est Conservancy Districts", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
62. (Exemptions. ) This sub-title shall not apply to the
clearing of woodlands for reservoirs, military, naval, agricul-
tural, communication and transmission lines or industrial sites,
railroads, residential or recreational purposes; nor shall any
provision of this sub-title apply to maple tree camps or to the
business of gathering maple sugar or maple syrup.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 922.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, sub-section
(h) of Section 37A of Article 1A of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "City of
Cumberland", sub-title "Police and Fire", as said section
was enacted by Chapter 663 of the Acts of 1941, providing
that election to and service in any elective public office
shall not disqualify a pensioner of the Cumberland Fire
Department Pension Fund from receiving a pension there-
from.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sub-section (h) of Section 37A of Article 1A of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"City of Cumberland", sub-title "Police and Fire", as said
