real, personal and mixed property, and sell and dispose of the
same for the benefit of the town.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 916.
(House Bill 661)

AN ACT to incorporate the Town of Morningside, in Prince
George's County, Maryland, as hereinafter described; to pro-
vide for the government thereof, and to provide for the sub-
mission of this question to the qualified voters of said town
for its adoption or rejection; and to provide for the election
and succession of the governing body of said town, to be
known as the Morningside Commission, which shall have
power to elect and enforce ordinances for the good govern-
ment, public health, safety and morals of said town, and to
authorize, empower and direct the Morningside Commission
to make annual levies of not exceeding ten cents ($. 10) on
each One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00) of the assessable value
of land and personal property of the said Town of Morning-
side, for the purpose of defraying the governmental expenses
of said town; and provide for the appointment of a Treasurer
to receive and disburse said funds, and also directing the
Board of County Commissioners to pay over to said Treas-
urer of the Town of Morningside, for the purpose of the im-
proving, maintaining and repairing of the roads, streets and
alleys of said town, the money collected on account of the
County road and bridge tax, in the same manner as is now
required by law to be paid to incorporated towns in said
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Citizens of the Town of Morningside, in Prince
George's County, are a body corporate by the name of the Town
of Morningside, and by that name shall have perpetual succes-
sion, sue and be sued, have and use a common seal, and may
purchase and hold or dispose of real and personal property for
the benefit of said town.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the boundaries of
said town shall be all of that land to be included in the incor-
poration of Morningside in Spaulding District, Prince George's
County, Maryland, and more fully described as follows:
