1328 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 900

Road, thence to the Calvert County line, a distance of 7000
feet or 1. 32 miles and running through the properties of Hugh
W. Ward and Dorothy B. Ward, his wife, Fanny G. Wilson,
widow of Calvert County in the State of Maryland and Rob-
ert T. Dorsey and Mary Della Dorsey, his wife, and Comton
Wilson, widower, of Anne Arundel County, State of Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted) That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 900.
(House Bill 761)

AN ACT to add three new sections to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Prince George's County (Flack's Edition,
1943), sub-title "County Police", to be known as Sections
416A, 416B and 416C, and to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 416, to provide for an increase of members of the County
Police Force, provide for the appointment of additional
police during the war period, to increase the pay and allow-
ance of the police.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That three new sections be added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Prince George's County, Maryland (Flack's
Edition, 1943), sub-title "County Police", to follow imme-
diately after Section 416, and to be known as Sections 416A,
416B and 416C, to read as" follows:

416A. After the termination of the present war and six
months thereafter, the Police Commissioners of Prince George's
County are hereby authorized, empowered and directed, in
their discretion, to appoint an additional number, not to
exceed eighteen (18), of police officers for Prince George's
County, who shall be in addition to the police force hereto-
fore provided by law. These additional members of the police
force shall be appointed under the same procedure, shall have
the same duties and powers, shall receive the same pay and
allowances according to rank, and shall be entitled to the
benefits and obligations of the pensions system, all as hereto-
fore provided by law for the police force of the County. The
Police Commissioners may, as circumstances and the public
welfare require, designate two additional members of the force
as "Sergeants", one additional member as "Corporal", who
