(Senate Bill 266)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 178 and 179 of Article 22 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Washington County, " sub-title "Elections, "
as said sections were amended by Chapter 461 of the
Acts of 1939, said sections relating to notices of regis-
tration.

WHEREAS, the permanent registration law makes these
sections inapplicable; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
. That Sections 178 and 179 of Article 22 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washing-
ton County, " sub-title "Elections, " as said sections were
amended by Chapter 461 of the Acts of 1939, be and they
are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

(Senate Bill 274)

AN ACT to repeal Section 172 of Article 22 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Washington County, " sub-title "Election Districts, "
said section authorizing the county commissioners to
create new election districts.

WHEREAS, the Supervisors of Elections now have the
power to divide election districts, thereby making the pro-
visions of this section unnecessary; therefore
