may be necessary not to exceed Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars
($750. 00) per year to defray the expenses incurred in the per-
formance of the duties of his office, and the same shall be re-
ported under oath by said Sheriff to the said Board of Com-
missioners once in each month in writing, which oath shall
show that the expenditures above enumerated when made are
correct and have been honestly and lawfully incurred, and that
the Sheriff himself has not derived profit from the purchase
thereof, or consumed or appropriated to himself any part of
such purchase; that each expenditure or purchase was reason-
able and necessary, and the price thereof was not in excess of
the market price therefor; which report and affidavit shall be
accompanied by properly itemized vouchers or certificates
showing from whom and for what purpose the same was made.
The said Sheriff shall also include in said monthly report a
full statement of all fines and costs by him collected, and shall
pay the same over promptly to the County Treasurer. Any
violation of the requirements of this Act or failure to comply
herewith shall constitute a misdemeanor, and shall be punished
upon conviction by forfeiture of office or fine or imprisonment,
or by all three, in the discretion of the Court.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

AN ACT to add a new section of Article 23 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wi-
comico County", sub-title "Delmar", sub-heading "Water",
said new section to be known as Section 66A and to follow
immediately after Section 66 of said Article, to provide for
joint ownership and maintenance with the Mayor and Coun-
cil of Delmar, Delaware.
SECTION 1. Be It enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Wicomico County", sub-title "Delmar", sub-head-
ing "Water", said new section to be known as Section 6'6A, to
follow immediately after Section 66 of said Article and to read
as follows:
