66A. The said Commissioners are hereby authorized and
empowered, in causing to be constructed and maintained a
system of water works, to design, construct, establish, purchase
or condemn and maintain and operate such a water supply
system alone or jointly and in cooperation with the Mayor and
Council of Delmar, a body politic of the State of Delaware.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 854.
(House Bill 822)
An ACT to add two new sections to Article 23 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wi-
comico County", sub-title "Delmar", sub-heading "Water",
said new sections to be known as Section 65A and Section
65B and to follow immediately after Section 65 of said Arti-
cle to provide water works for Delmar, Maryland, and main-
tenance of the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That two new sections be and they are hereby added
to Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County", sub-title "Del-
mar", sub-heading "Water", said new sections to be known as
Section 65A and Section 65B, to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 65 of said Article and to read as follows:
65A. For the purpose of providing funds for the design,
construction, establishment, purchase or condemnation and
maintenance and operation of a water supply system for Del-
mar, Maryland, either alone or jointly with the Mayor and
Council of Delmar, a body politic of the State of Delaware,
as hereinafter set forth, the Commissioners of Delmar are
hereby authorized and empowered to issue bonds upon its faith
and credit from time to time in such amounts as may be
deemed necessary by the Commissioners of Delmar, and to
carry on the said work, but at no time shall the total amount
of such bonds exceed one hundred thousand dollars. The
said bonds to be issued from time to time under this Act shall
be either registered or coupon bonds, issued in such denomi
nations as shall be determined by the Commissioner of Del-
mar by ordinance, shall bear interest at a rate not exceeding
