with the approval of the State Roads Commission, may apply
or authorize the application of their allocated share of the
"One and One-Half Cent Lateral Road Gasoline Tax Fund"
for either maintenance, construction or reconstruction of roads
and bridges in the several counties, in whatever proportion the
said County Commissioners and the State Roads Commission
may mutually agree upon, and notwithstanding the provision
of any other law or section of law.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 842.
(House Bill 783)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter (1938
Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Special Fund",
said new section to be known as Section 957A, and to follow
immediately after Section 957 of said Article, providing that
the Supervisor of the Taxicab Bureau and the Investigators
and Draftsmen assigned to the Traffic Engineering Bureau
shall be eligible to participate in the benefits of the Special
Fund and the Special Fund for Widows, under certain con-
ditions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 4
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore
City Charter (1938 Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title
"Special Fund", said new section to be known as Section 957A?
to follow immediately after Section 957 of said Article, and to
read as follows:
957A. The Police Commissioner for the City of Baltimore is
hereby authorized, empowered and directed to include the
Supervisor of the Taxicab Bureau and the Investigators and
Draftsmen assigned to the Traffic Engineering Bureau within
the provisions of said Sections 943A and 946 of this Article, so
that they may enjoy the same rights, privileges and benefits, be
subject to the same limitations and conditions, as are therein
prescribed and conferred for the regular members of the Police
Force of Baltimore City; provided, however, that any of the
persons occupying any of the positions mentioned in this sec-
