tinuing north 31 degrees 15 minutes west 1106 feet to an iron
axle driven in the center of the lane leading from the farm-
house formerly owned by Joseph Douglas, now owned by John
W. Noble; thence running south 33 degrees west 900 feet to
Main Street Extended, also known as the State road leading
from Preston to Easton; thence continuing south 33 degrees
west 145 feet to the aforesaid beginning stone.
(b) All existing laws relating to the municipal corporation
known as "Commissioners of Preston", and all existing
ordinances passed by the said Commissioners of Preston are
hereby extended to and shall apply to the hereinabove de-
scribed territory and each and every part thereof.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 839.
(House Bill 729)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 283
of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Testamentary Law", sub-title "Register of
Wills", authorizing the registers of wills to grant letters of
guardianship during the recess of the Orphans' Court.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 283 of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Testamentary Law", sub-title
"Register of Wills", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
283. During the recess of the Orphans' Court he may take
the probate of wills and grant letters testamentary or of ad-
ministration or guardianship.
SEC. 2. And fie it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.
