Section 427 of said Article, extending the boundaries of the
Town of Preston, Caroline County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted 'by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
6 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Caroline County", sub-title "Preston", said new
section to be known as Section 427A, to follow immediately
after Section 427 of said Article and to read as follows:

427A. (a) There is hereby annexed to the territory of the
Commissioners of Preston, a municipal corporation, herein-
after called the Town of Preston, all adjacent and contiguous
territory in Caroline County within the following metes,
bounds, courses and distances:

BEGINNING for the first line thereof at a large stone, which
point is the beginning point described in Section 3 of Chapter
833 of the Acts of 1914, codified as Section 427 of Article 6
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland of 1930, which
stone is at the south side of the old public road leading from
Preston to Bethlehem and near the division line between the
lands formerly belonging to Mrs. Mary A. Cox and Mr. L. P.
Williams, and running thence in a straight line south 33
degrees west 1741 feet, more or less, to and across the Balti-
more and Eastern Shore Railroad, to a concrete marker on a
line between the lands of the Harry B. Wright cannery and
the lands of Mrs. Dorothy Osteen; thence south 37 degrees 15
minutes east 669 feet, more or less, to a concrete marker
settled in the ground on the north side of the concrete road
leading from Preston to Choptank; thence continuing south
37 degrees 15 minutes east 1583 feet, more or less, to a point
in the center of the Back Landing road, which point is 15 feet
short of a concrete marker placed on the south side of said
Back Landing road; thence with said road north 39 degrees,
45 minutes east to the State road leading from Preston to Hur-
lock where a concrete marker is set in the park at the south
side of said State road, and continuing said straight line
across said State road and through the lands of Harry Whitely
a total distance of 2422 feet to a concrete marker in the line
between the lands of the said Harry Whitely and Harry B.
Wright, which marker is south 67 degrees 15 minutes east
417. 8 feet from a marble marker located at the northwest
corner of the high school lot; thence from said concrete marker
north 31 degrees 15 minutes west, crossing land formerly be-
longing to the heirs of Dr. H. F. Willis and to and down the
division line between the lands formerly belonging to J. H.
Douglas and E. T. Moore, 1515 feet to the center of Church
Road, also known as the State road to Denton; thence con-
