AN ACT entitled. An act to change the name of
Daniel Orrick Bosley.

20, 1860.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the name of Daniel Orrick Bos-
ley be, and the same is hereby changed to Daniel
Orrick, Junior.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 53.

In force.

AN ACT to incorporate the City Block Ferry and
Towing Company.

14, 1860.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That John T. Fardy, R. L. Taylor,
John S. Gittings, Jacob Tome, George H. Wil-
liams and Joseph I. Taylor, their associates, suc-
cessors and assigns, be, and they are hereby cre-
ated a corporation and body politic by the name
and style of the City Block Ferry and Towing
Company, and by that name may have succession,
and shall be able and capable in law to sue and be
sued, plead and be impleaded, answer and be an-
swered in any court of law or equity, and to make
and use a common seal, and to ordain and estab-
lish such by-laws and regulations as shall be neces-
sary and convenient for conducting the affairs of
the corporation not repugnant to law.

Incorporated.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the objects of said
corporation are declared to be the establishment of
a steam ferry to transport passengers, goods, wa-
gons, carriages or any other transportable article
within the harbor of Baltimore or other points
on the Patapsco river, and to erect wharves, build-
ings and any other appendage necessary or con-
venient to the conduct of the business, which pur-
pose they are authorised to purchase, hold, sell or
lease land in fee simple or otherwise, and to use,
